This Privacy Policy explains how IES ("we," "us," or "our") handles data in connection with our internal software integration between our Salesforce environment and our own QuickBooks Online company (the "Integration"). The Integration is a private, internal-use tool. It is not offered, sold, or distributed to any third party, and it is used solely by our authorized personnel to support our own business operations.
This policy applies only to the Integration and to data accessed through it. It does not govern any other website, product, or service.
Through the Intuit QuickBooks Online API, the Integration accesses accounting and business records belonging to our own QuickBooks Online company. Depending on the workflow, this may include:
We access only the data necessary to perform the intended synchronization between Salesforce and QuickBooks Online, using the minimum API scopes required.
Data is used exclusively to synchronize and reconcile records between our Salesforce environment and our own QuickBooks Online company. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
The Integration connects to QuickBooks Online using OAuth 2.0. Access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted within Salesforce's secured credential store and are not exposed in application code. Any accounting data retrieved is retained within our access-controlled Salesforce environment only as long as needed for the relevant business process.
The Integration relies on Intuit Inc. (QuickBooks Online) and Salesforce, Inc. as platform providers. Data handled by the Integration is subject to the security and privacy practices of those platforms. We do not transmit this data to any other external service.
We use administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption of stored credentials, least-privilege access, and standard platform security controls, to protect the information the Integration handles. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain synchronized data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the business purposes described above or as required by applicable law, after which it is deleted or archived in accordance with our internal retention practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date above.
